Sensei, O’Sensei
Your wisdom still continues
Written words remain

~

This can not be true
How can you leave us so soon
In your fall of life?

~

Teacher of teachers
With students in the legions
Your life’s work sustains

~

Unafraid he died
Urban the man – a legend
Enigma remains

 

Literary rules of Haiku: Three lines of poetry with five syllables in first line, seven syllables in second line, and five syllables in third line.
Traditional Haiku contains a seasonal word of reference.
