Sensei Box began his training at the age of 12 at a local dojo in Joplin Missouri. It was also at that age he read his first book on the Martial Arts. That book was  “The Karate Dojo” by Peter G. Urban, and it was the beginning of his Goju U.S.A. way  of life and journey. He began to seek out Goju Instructors and as Grand Master Urban would later say it was his destiny.

Degrees received from Grand Master Urban:

1990-8^th Dan Master of Martial Arts./Title Chaplain

1990-Assigned Goju Hall #016.

1991-Commissioned Chaplain.

1991-8^th Dan Kyoshi and Lifetime Tenure Earned.

1991-Appointed By Grand Master Urban as Secretary General , In Charge of the Midwest organized Dojos of the Urban School Of thought.

1993- Put in charge of Urban Goju affairs West of the Mississippi and given the title of Senior Deputy Commander.

1994- Received the rank of 10^th Dan  and given the title of Professor and held the 13^th chair on Grand Master Urban’s  Board of  Directors.

1996- Awarded Degree of Master in Martial Science.

Sensei Box Received his nickname “Sharp Shooter Woo” from Grand Master Urban.

2003-April received The Title of Hanshi.

2003- August received The Title of Senior Executive Hanshi-Grand Master from  The Grand Patriarch of all American Gojudo Grand Master Peter G. Urban.

1991 Sensei Box was introduced into The World Martial Arts Hall Of Fame

On one trip to Maestro Urban Fanshuia Monastery he took the towel from around his neck (the one pictured in the photo) and presented it to Sensei Box as a departing gift. Sensei Box Places great value on it as it represented a beginning of a life long friendship, Sensei Box also wears with pride the crimson G on his right shoulder given to him by Grand Master Urban.
